Our Workshop in Whitechapel, E1

TeeWorld is a printing workshop, not a website that forwards orders to someone else. Everything you order here is printed at 17 Spelman Street, London E1 5LQ, a few minutes' walk from Aldgate East and Whitechapel stations, and collected from the counter at the front of the same room it was printed in.

What is in the workshop

• DTF (direct to film) — our workhorse for full-colour artwork on any fabric and colour. The design is printed to film, powdered, cured and heat-pressed onto the garment.
• DTG (direct to garment) — prints photographic detail straight into cotton. Used for photo tees and fine artwork on white and light cotton.
• Vinyl cutting — names, numbers and bold single-colour designs, weeded by hand and pressed.
• Heat presses and a curing line — every print is pressed, checked and folded before it goes into a bag with your order number on it.
• Shelf stock of the core garments in the common sizes and colours, which is what makes same-day possible: if it is on the shelf and the artwork is ready, it can be printed this afternoon.

What happens to your order

• You design or upload online and see the price, then the site checks today's capacity and the shelf before you pay and gives you an exact ready time.
• A person opens your file. Resolution, transparency, size on the garment, colours on the chosen fabric. If something will not print well we contact you before printing — that is the Artwork Check Promise.
• It is printed and pressed on the method that suits the fabric: DTF or vinyl on polyester and hi-vis, DTG or DTF on cotton.
• It is checked again, folded and bagged, and you get an email when it is ready to collect or has been dispatched.

Who we are

A small team of printers and one designer, run from East London since the workshop opened. We print for restaurants and trades around Whitechapel and Shoreditch, offices in the City and Canary Wharf, schools, clubs and charities across London, and a steady stream of people who need one shirt for tonight. No job is too small to bring in.
